Planet Earth!

I just received my copy of Planet Earth on HD-DVD yesterday.

I watched the first 30 or so minutes of the 9 hour series last night, and without a doubt, it is filled with footage of the most amazing things I have ever seen...be that at the cinema or at home.

From the very first frame of Earth from space, it will blow your mind with the clarity and depth HD gives wildlife and the landscape. Some of the footage is so real and vivid it's almost 3D! It's quite a spectacle indeed!

Forget Pirate's, forget all the Hollywood fluff, forget any movie that you can buy on HD-DVD or Blu-Ray, Planet Earth is a visually arresting documentary like nothing else you will have seen before.

GET IT IMMEDIATELY!

This has got to be some of the most awesome game footage I have ever seen! So realistic, mature and exciting. The animation and voice acting combine to create an atmosphere and depth rarely seen in games.

This is NEXT GEN!

1st Dalai Lama quote.

"In this cycle of existence, over the course of numerous rebirths, and sometimes even within a single lifetime, everything is changing. There are no certainties. Everything that comes together falls apart, anything high ends up low, meetings finish in separation, and life ends in death. Our happiness is continuously flowing away. And all our belongings are subject to change. Nothing that we normally think of as real is actually permanent."- Tenzin Gyatso, His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama.

Halo 3 the process.

I love these behind the scenes looks at the production process of the games industry. Very interesting stuff indeed.

It does make me question the west's insatiable thirst for luxury items, considering the amount of poverty in such a place as China, which pumps out the majority of the shit we consume.
